Congratulations to this ever sweet couple of mine Laura and Austin! We had such a beautiful day for their session, especially after all the rain we had been getting! These two were just so comfortable in front of the camera and have such a sweet tender love between them! What a joy it was to spend this time with them! I was also surprised to receive a write up from both Laura & Austin about their love story!! So fun!! I love it when my handsome grooms chime in, it is always fun to hear both perspectives! Enjoy the peek of our session and have a read from these two lovers! 😉
From Laura: Austin and I met in December 2014 when I was home from college for the break. Although we went to the same high school and lived in the same city we never really crossed paths until then. We had some mutual friends and met at a bar one night. I was instantly attracted to him and I could tell he was trying hard to get my attention. We had fun that night although he did step on my toes a few times while two-stepping. I was waiting for him to ask for my number but he left without it. With a little bit of liquid courage I messaged him on Facebook where we then exchanged numbers. Living in two different cities at the time I never really thought anything would come of it. We would text occasionally, but nothing too serious. As time went on we talked more and more and I quickly developed feelings for him. He would often send me flowers and even had hot soup and a cookie delivered when I was sick! I mean c’mon! It wasn’t until summer break when we met up again. Seeing him again only reassured my feelings for him. He asked me to be his girlfriend in July and here we are 4 years later! Being around Austin always gave me butterflies and it still does! I’ve never met such a caring, smart, and down to earth guy. I think I knew he was the one when he met my family! Family is everything to me and he fit right in, despite standing a foot taller than everyone! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful man in my life and even luckier to call that man my husband (soon)! He is my rock, my best friend and supporter and I can’t wait for forever with him!
From Austin: I had known who Laura was since high school, even though she says she did not know me. I’d always thought she was beautiful but never really had a chance to talk to her. High school came and went and we went in different directions, never thinking we would cross paths. About three years later, I added her on Facebook. She had liked my photos and posts as I did with her but nothing came of it until winter break of 2014. Everyone was home for the holidays and this was a perfect opportunity to take a chance. We had started messaging back and forth, when one night her and all her friends went to a local bar. Perfect! I was with mine and I thought it would be a great idea for all of us to have some drinks. I walked into the bar and was immediately met by her beautiful blue eyes that stood out even in the dim bar light. We had drinks, talked for a bit and I stepped on her toes a few times trying to two-step. We both had a great time but decided to take things slow. Our group of friends met a few more times then winter break was over. Fast forward to the summer of 2015. She was home from school and we had built a pretty good relationship as friends through texting, messaging and phone calls. Now that she was in town, we hung out as much as possible. Our first date was pizza and a movie. It was a really fun time with a beautiful woman. We continued to see each other every opportunity we had. We would take trips to the beach and the river, to name a few. That summer she asked me to go to the casinos in Lake Charles with her and some friends. I had never been but did not want to miss a chance to be with her! I was already in love with what a beautiful person she was inside and out. She is so caring, loving, forgiving and easy going. So while we were at the casinos I asked her to be my “official” girlfriend. She said yes to my surprise and the rest is history. We weren’t even thinking about how she had to go back to school for two more semesters. By the end of the summer I knew the long distance thing wouldn’t be a problem. She was worth it. I quickly knew she was the only woman for me.
